The History of Healing Rooms:

In 1949, John G Lake opened the first “healing rooms”, a place where people could pray and seek God.

During the next five years, his ministry documented more than 100,000 healings.  Lake’s rooms closed in 1935 after his death.  In the mid 1990’s, Cal Pierce, a Californian real estate developer was preparing for retirement.  But he sensed God telling him to re-dig those wellshealing that John G Lake had started 80 years earlier.  This is what he did.  He purchased the original property, re-opened the rooms, and eventually relocated to another area of the city.

There are now over 3,000 Healing Rooms worldwide in 76 nations, and over 100 in the UK.

The first Healing Room in the UK opened in Halifax, West Yorkshire, at the end of January 2003.
