The Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Association is a Christian uniformed organisation which is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 17 (from school year 1).

We meet at Moorland Park Methodist Church every Friday during term time.

Our objective is the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among young people and the promotion of the habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline and Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian attitude.

We meet on Friday evenings, between 7pm and 8.30pm.

We charge £1 per session for anchors and Juniors and £1.50 for company & seniors.

First week is Free of charge

Uniform costs vary depending on size.

We offer a range of activities covering:

  Body -   Games & sports,

Mind -   Puzzles, logic and thinking activities,

Spirit -   Bible stories, church festivals & exploring faith,

Community - Learning about the world around us,

Creativity -  Crafts and cooking activities

The company & senior sections have some input to their activities under similar themes.

We aim to provide a safe place where everyone is valued, can be themselves and have the opportunity, should they want to, to explore what faith means to them, without any judgements.

We aim to provide opportunities which are fun & exciting, encouraging members to work together.

We do fund raising  events and social evenings for all members, their family and members of the church, such as the regular snowman drive before Christmas. We also  go on swimming  and on other trips out on our own and with the Battalion.

This year we organising a sleepover at church.

All of our leaders are fully trained and have relevant safeguard/DRB checks.
